Seiko Prospex PADI ‘Arnie’
PADI (The Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is the world’s leading scuba diving training organisation, unifying divers around the globe who share a passion for adventure and love for the ocean. Proceeds from each Seiko Prospex watch is donated to support the PADI Ocean Cleanup campaign.
This diver’s watch is a modern re-interpretation of the Seiko world’s first Chronograph Divers, featuring an alarm function. Originally released in 1982, known as the ‘Hybrid divers’ because it combines analogue and digital watch technology. This specific model is known globally as the ‘Arnie’ after the actor who wore it in the film ‘Commando’. The watch shape is affectionately nicknamed by Seiko fans as a ‘Tuna’ – because of its larger diameter and bold shape like a tuna tin – loved for decades since its release.
Seiko Prospex watches are designed for sports lovers and adventure seekers whether in the water, in the sky or on land. Since launching Japan’s first diver’s watch in 1965, Seiko’s innovative technology has changed global dive watch standards.
